Ford 4000 Injector Pump

Trying to remove the in jector pump from 1965 3-piston diesel for pump rebuild. Am stuck! It's loose--ready to pull out, but the starter is in the way! Can't remove the starter because the pump is in the way. What to do? Your advice is appreciated! (By the way, this old tractor is a workaholic daily driver.)

I don't think you need to take the starter off. The pump may need to be turned a bit and then pulled outwards, but I don't recall taking the starter off. The filters will likely need to come off though. If the starter needs to come off, then I think it needs to be twisted some and then pulled downward. Just play with it some and itl will come off.
