ford 4000

their is a ford 4000 for sale.3 cyl diesel,2 remotes,sos trans. he said the trans. jumped out of park and went in reverse the rest of trans works ok.is this a easy fix or probabiy a magor problem.also small power steering leak he could not rember where it was leaking.any idea of what it would be worth thanks for any help.

I'd give whatever you thought the engine was worth and the tires and rims and front tin and fenders.. maybee 1500$ if all that stuff was awesome..

The transmission issue sounds likea selector adjustment issue.

Value depends upon year (post early 1968?) and condition. Not enough information.

I agree with Dean. The park issue is a minor cable adjustment issue. This tractor does not have a non-working transmission. We really need more info, but I'd place the value somewhere above $4000.00

Wow.. lots of unknowns and not enough info to really go on for a for sure sos trans issue..
and telling the guy it doesn't have a non working tranny without more info is a real disservice to him.. especially at that price you are quoting IMHO...

IMHO telling him it has a non-working transmission with all the info given is the real disservice! Given the fact that you readily admit to having little or no experience with SOS trannies . . .
