Just purchased a used ford 445 and trying to determine year, etc. for the tractor
these are my codes
KD414K
6M126
C768779

Can anyone decipher what these mean. The only info I found was that is might be a 445A, however in yesterdays tractor it does not state the A came in 4 wheel drive and my tractor is 4 wheel drive.
thanks in advance

KD414K is the model number. It decodes to being a 445A with a diesel engine, independent 540 rpm PTO and a 6x4 manual reversing transmission.

6M126 is called the Unit Number, which is a date code for when the tractor was assembled, but the last character should be a letter, not a number, so it is likely a C, which would make it 6M12C, meaning it was assembled on December 12 1986, during the afternoon shift

C768779 is the "tractor Number", or serial number. The C at the beginning means that it was assembled at the assembly plant in the US. Tractordata claims that should be a 1987 serial number, but I would believe the Unit Number before anything I read on tractordata.

it's a 1986 445A

you can enter the serial number on the CNH website and it will identify it
