PICKED UP WHAT IS A PROJECT FORD BACKHOE/LOADER 4500? 3.3L DIESEL TO SAVE IT FROM WE KNOW WHAT... (NOTHING WRONG WITH OLD - I'M
ONE OF THEM) MOST LABELS SEEM TO HAVE BEEN RUSTED OUT OR REMOVED EXCEPT BACKHOE # 755 19-390 SERIAL 2302. NO PTO. ENGINE RAISED CASTING # ON LEFT SIDE IS C5NE 10039 AND ON RIGHT SIDE C5NE 6015. LOOKING UP MEANING FOUND C IS USA MADE AND 5 IS 1965 YEAR. UNSURE TOO OF TRANSMISSION SYSTEM . OTHER NUMBERS ARE INTERESTING AND IF ANYONE CAN HELP, WOULD APPRECIATE LEARNING SOME HISTORY OF THIS OLD-TIMER... INTEND TO RESTORE IT TO PROVE ANTIQUES STILL WORK WELL AND MAYBE EVEN BETTER THAN THE NEW & IMPROVED!)
THANKS FOR ANY HELP FROM ONTARIO.

The numbers you need to look for are stamped into the top of the transmission housing just behind the starter
The loader frame makes them difficult to see
The raised casting numbers only tell you when that part was designed
C = 60s so the 5 = 1965, NE = Ag part, 6015 is a engine block
They used that block design for a few years before switching to the C7NN6015 block that I have on my 69 model

Thank you. Will start carefully scraping off and brushing off the years of grease, oil, crops, grime and even layers of paint etc. to check it out. Was also able to pick up all filters and am renewing most tubing, but hydraulic lines seem to be in good shape - likely replaced a few years back.. Thanks again. Really appreciate your help. Must add I was given original repair manual and have purchased operator's industrial and backhoe manuals. Now for warmer weather..

Thank you Larry for suggestion, but I'm a dinosaur re technology, Thanks to my previous contact, carefully using cleaner, and
different brushes have found the numbers he suggested behind the starter on the clutch housing.. 2 sets -- 45011G and
C1334956C30 .. The last 0 is almost completely obliterated with imbedded 'guck' and oxide-- so that's a guess... Could be a C, 6
or 9. Only top left of the # is visible. Will try to let my other 'helper' know results. Now-- how to interpret them - altho' I
believe 1st C means made in USA. The rest is a puzzle.
BTW, I believe we may also have another similarity -- does Warsaw or Krakow mean anything to you?

Hi Destroked 450. Tried to send you my response to another helper but I'm not quite with it re technology. It should be posted soon, but basically, thanks to you, did some careful brushing off and found the nos. --45011G and C 1334956C30, but the last 0 may be a 6, 9 or C since it's badly oxidized and can make out only top left of the # or letter.. All I'm told is that the C means made in USA. The rest is a puzzle. Again, really appreciate your help.

Those are the numbers you need
Model # 45011G
450 = 4500 industrial
1 = diesel
1 = no pto
G = 4x4 manual reversing trans
Two forward and two reverse gears in each range

Serial # C133495 is for a 66 model tractor built in the US

6C30 looks like a production date indicating the tractor was assembled March 30, 1966

Destroke 450. Can't thank you enough for the detailed explanation. AS a history buff of many things, I find it interesting to
know where birthplaces occurred. Makes one appreciate a bit of the background of where our technology has come from and how its
influence has changed our lives. Now to work on restoration as soon as weather allows. Have new starter, all filters, fuel
hoses, new rear tires -- and enthusiasm so far! Thanks again from Ontario Ricknubie. Must add that have Massey 135, TO35,
Leyland 272, and Komatsu dozer to stay active and play with too. All in great condition..
