My cousin bought this tractor and don't know what model it is. From the internet research I have done it appears to be a Ford 4500 with a BIG front end loader. This thing has solid front tires and he is having trouble steering it and now the thing creeps when the clutch is depressed. He's adjusted the cluth all the way and it still creeps and even does so when trying to start it. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to identify this beast. My guess is that the clutch disc is worn out as the clutch pedal has resistance so it must be making contact with the clutch fingers.

pics would help. Clutch is probably a bit frozen especially if it has set outside for a while. The disc will actually rust to the flywheel. Drive it up against an immovable object with the clutch depressed and see if that breaks it free.

or if the tractor breaks first?

better ideal is to drive it down the field with the clutch pedal in and stomp on the brakes over and over in quick jerks.. this will work most of the time and does not break the tractor or the in-moveable object. also doesnt break the driver.

I will try to get some pictures taken over the weekend. The tractor has sat outside but he had just driven the tractor and the clutch worked fine. In fact he had driven it into the garage, parked it for a few days and when he went out to use it the tractor creeped when he tried to start it to use.
