Ford 4630 - year identification

Good morning all. I have been thrown a curveball in identifying the year model on this 4630. I have searched many different forums and websites but I have yet to find anything that correlates with the serial and model number on this tractor. I have been told by my father it was manufactured in the 90’s. Attached are pictures for reference. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated, thank you.

God bless,

t.jackson

Thank you Fordfarmer. I’m assuming that is based solely off the unit number?
Fordfarmer has the date right. While waiting for SeanPA and destroked450 to weigh in I'll provide some food for entertainment. FA5 is the model code but I think it's a misstamp. FA5 would be a 7740S, look at the thread linked below, read through the whole thing.
I think your model code should be DA5 for 4630. Also below is a tag for a 4630 I grabbed from tractor house. Other than that the rest of the model code indicates diesel engine, independent 540/1000 PTO, and 16X4 (8X2 plus Dual Power) transmission.

My references don't cover many model prefixes with the third character being as high as a 5, but FA5 should be something in the 7xxx series if you extrapolate. But the funny thing is, if you put that tractor number (serial number), 003039B, into the New Holland parts lookup site in the serial number search, it comes back as a 4630, so maybe they changed things in those later years.

Or Andy could be correct and the first character in the model number might have been misstamped.

The date looks about right, not sure what year they changed the name on the hood from Ford to New Holland, the 96 model 3930 I had was a New Holland
The model code is mostly or completely wrong
FA5 should be a 7740
P is apparently a new code for diesel engine as I’ve found that code on both 3930 and 7740 models
5 is 540/1000 pto that a 4630 never had
M is a 8x2 trans with dual power that was also not used on a 3 cylinder model
Miss prints happen

Edited a couple of my answers

P I have down for a 192 engine which that one should have, but I’m not 100% on that info

The 16x8 dual power that was available was code letter W

Yeah I noticed some additional discrepancies in the model code after I post, specifically the transmission code can't be right. As to P engine code, there is a mystery there too, it doesn't always mean 192. For example my 1994 455D has P code but a 201. If the OP serial number is correct I believe his 4630 should have a 192 turbodiesel.

To OP: model number, serial number, and unit code should also be stamped on the flat spot on the transmission case to the rear of the starter (well sometimes model number is in a different place), it would be interesting to see what you find there.

On checking the serial number on the CNH parts site I believe the tractor has a 201 NA engine.

Says Turbo on the sides, to the best of my knowledge the 192 was the only one that had a turbo
Yeah you're right, I didn't see that on the side. I guess tractordata was right, had serial number cutover from 201 NA to 192 Turbo. On CNH serial number lookup returns a technical type of 611140670 - 4630 2WD WC NHE and a build date of 31 May 1995. Engine listed for 4630 NH-E was 201 but I probably was making a false assumption that NHE=NH-E. More codes to figure out, I haven't seen "technical type" before.
