I have a Ford 5000 deisel that has started leaking fuel out of the injector pump drain tube, it has got to the point that it is dripping pretty fast. Anybody know what this drain is for ? How do I fix it ? If you can educate me a little I would appreciate it. Thanks

Pump is not engine oiled, tube is drain for excess fuel that naturally seeps past pump block elements between oil changes. May also have feed pump on side with a leaking diaphragm, will fill cambox fast if bad. Usually cheaper in long run to replace with new feed pump, Delph HFP 314A or equivilant.

Assuming that your 5000 has the in line Simms, and that you are referring to the 1/8 curved tube from behind the pump, that is the overflow for the cam box. They will dribble when the cam box gets overfilled with fuel because of internal leakage even with a new feed pump. You are supposed to change the pump oil with the same oil as in your crank case every oil change. To stop the leak you will have to rebuild the pump. Or you can do as I have been doing and change the oil 2-3 times a year when it gets thinned out by fuel.
