ford 5600 power steering issues

Hey folks need a little help with my 5600.

it keeps blowing the gear housing gasket, iv tried using just the gasket then I tried rtv + the gasket and it seems that every time
i get it in a sharp turn it blows it. its not in the same place each time it blows so I'm not sure what's up.
iv used ford gaskets made for the 5600 and iv used off brand ones plus iv made some from heavier material with the same results.

I can't find any rough spots that would be cutting into them.

any help would be great.

Sounds like the relief valve in the power steering pump may be stuck closed and not be opening at 1100 psi like it's supposed to.

The relief valve is certainly something you should check, however it's highly unusual for a relief valve to stick high. If it
checks out, make sure that your bolt lengths are correct, and that they are not too long and bottoming out in the holes. To
check, install the plate without the rocker shim and gasket. Make sure that you can thread the bolts all the way in by hand
until they bottom. If they don't, either clean out the holes or put shorter ones in. The factory used 3 different lengths in
that box, 3/4, 7/8, and 1" long. A 7/8" long bolt is very rare. That's how close you need to be, within 1/8". Too short and
you'll strip out the threads, too long and you'll bottom out.

ok Ill take a look at the bolts to make sure some RTV has not got in and causing some of the issue on the bolts. Iv looked at the relief value the other day and I can pull it up with ease but ill see if it might be stopped up. thanks for the info.
