1955 Ford 640 Power Lift won't work. Used to work but after sitting for perod of time it won't work. Has plenty of oil in it.

You'll have to start working through the possibilities.
Oil level O.K. - Yes
Selector lever in position control?
Hydraulic pump primed?
Hydraulic pump working, can provide flow and pressure?
Above O.K. move on to lift cover, unloading and control valve free? Etc. Etc.
