Ford 600 clutch problems

I have a 600 4 speed tractor that I have replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. After putting it back together I have no adjustments that I can do to get the clutch to release. I know the throw out bearing is moving like it should. Could the pressure plate fingers need to be adjusted and if so how is that done.

I had a case clutch rebuilt one time and when installed it was like what you describe. The
release bearing would not reach the fingers to disengage. Called rebuilders and they said they
adjusted it to spec but bring it back. They adjusted it again and it worked. I adjusted a 4020
John Deere one time in the tractor but there was an inspection hole to work thru. I dont think
the Ford has a hole to work thru so will have to be split again.

Are you saying the adjustment is maxed out and there is still too much free play at the top of the pedal stroke?

Or is the freeplay normal and it still won't release?

If the freeplay is normal, and it won't fully release (drags), or it makes no attempt to release?

Unless there were bolts with jamb nuts on the fingers of the pressure plate, there is no adjustment to the pressure plate. Even if there were bolts, they are more for getting the fingers even, not changing the position of the fingers in relation to the release bearing.

Here is a video for adjusting the freeplay. If the adjustment is out of range something must be wrong with the linkage or the release bearing was not installed properly, but I don't think it will go but one way.

See if this helps...
