Ford 600 hydraulic probem

1957 Ford 600 hydraulics won"t lift. I overhauled the hydraulic system recently for this same reason. Rebuilt the pump and changed orings. Worked great after reassembly for about 3 hours. Then blew hydraulic fluid out of pump. Took apart pump and gasket was broken inside. Replaced and ran another 2 hours. Same thing happened. Fixed again and worked great for 3 hours. All of a sudden won"t lift at all. No leaking hydraulic fluid this time. Any ideas?

hello i would check the relif valve. it may have been stuck closed .make it blow out gasket now it may have moved stuck open. trash in valve.

thanks david.

Did some additional tests tonight. I have flow coming out of the pump. I did a test where I took off the accessory plate and put a pressure gage down at the plug beside the relief valve. Put a gasket over the pressure tube (outflow) at the accessory plate. Started the tractor. My manual says the relief valve should open at 1950 psi. I should hear a noise in the center housing when that happens. Couldn't tell if it made that noise. Would the pressure drop when it opens? How far would the pressure drop? The pressure was around 1800 at a fast idle. Still no lift.
