My Ford 600 isnt getting any spark. When I turn key to on I get power to both nuts on coil and nut on distributor cap. Was running fine last summer. Thanks in advance for any help, Lou

o nut on distributor "cap", but wire from nut on side of distributor housing to nut on coil is of interest for you. Connect either a test lamp or analog voltmeter here & see if lamp blinks as you try to start engine (points opening & closing) or if voltage fluctuates between zero & battery voltage. Digital meter response won't allow good look at this.

ditto what jmor said.

can use test lamp from bat hot to that nut on side of dizzy, or in line with wire.

look for changing lamp states.

if lamp never comes on when in series, then points are not closing, or conductor from side to points is broke.

can also probe fromt hat screw to ground. all show the same concept. state changes in lamp
