Ford 600 steering

When I try to turn my 3 rib tires dig in badly in the dirt, both right and left turns, it's also extremely hard to turn in both directions. Does any body have any solutions?

Are your steering brakes adjusted and working properly?
Does it have power assisted steering?, if so, you need to determine if it's working. If it is working, or doesn't have power steering, you need to separate the draglinks from the steering arms and see if you have tight kingpins, or a tight steering box, or even tight ball joint ends on the draglink ends.

It could be your bottom thrust bearings busted on the spindles. All the frontend weight rides on those two bearings. Your spindle bushings could be bad also.

Had/have the same issue with my 640, hard turning both direction, not so much digging in. Here s what I did that helped.
Wheel bearings where loose, tighten. Adjust toe, forgot measurements but there on line or in the manual,This helped the most. Adjusted sector screws, they were binding on one side. Greased all linkage, check steering box for fluid/grease, fill if needed. All that made mine considerably better, not one handed turning but better. I m sure new bearings in the steering box would help but I didnt want to tear into that yet.

When you say digging in, do you mean the tire on the side you are turning to is almost like it goes to far, digs in and is hard to steer back to straight?

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. My 640 acts the same way.
Everything on the front end is set to factory specs and it still does it.
Maybe now that you've actually said what's going on someone can help both of us.
