ThanksThe frame is 87" wide. (I have a frame with part of husking bed left). Maybe 8' with all the gizmos and tin... Can't help on length, but the wagon elevator can be unbolted and removed fairly easily. We had to take ours off to put the picker in the shed. I have assembly manual in PDF form if you would want that.
The picker is mounted on a Farmall M. We are hoping to take it off the tractor and then put both the tractor and picker on a 24’ trailer. Thinking we might have to take the elevator off.I have 2 601’s we use plus a couple of parts machines
Are they going to set the machine on your trailer or are you taking a tractor to mount it on
I can measure mine but it will be tomorrow
Last one I bought we mounted on my 4000SU that is same size as a 3000, when we drove up on the trailer the head hung over the right side a couple of feet, mounted on a tractor I can heighten the top link to get the elevator down to around 8 ft, normally it a little over 9 ft. We had it on a 16’ trailer but most of the elevator was hanging over the back

This is mounted on my 4000, you can see the nose cone is even with the front tire so layed out I’d say it would be twice as long as the tractor.

Got it home. Was able to remove picker head and lower elevator. Had about a foot hangover on ditch side.Is this a picker or a harvester
Picker has husking rolls with lose grain return to the bottom of the elevator
Harvester has a simple cross conveyor to take everything to the elevator
How far are you transporting it if not a long distance or on interstate highways I’d leave it mounted and unpin the snapper until, unpin the nose cones and lay the snapping unit on the trailer deck, drive the tractor on straddling the snapping unit
Once loaded adjust the top link to get the elevator under 13’6” height
You’ll still be over 10’ wide but the width will be off the passenger side above any cars or mail boxes
If you have to make it legal width you still have to remove the snapping unit and make a second trip for the tractor
I don’t think you can break it down the its 3 main components and still have room for the tractor

The 601/602 mounted pickers were introduced in 1956 and were red, all Ford equipment was changed to blue for the 63 year models, my info show’s product ended in 72Did those pickers come in red or did they come around after the change to blue?

I missed this thread when it first appeared. My grandfather had a red Ford 1-row mounted picker, I think the model number was 16-65. That one came before the red 601, and had a narrow single-chain wagon elevator on it. Otherwise, it was pretty much the same. Not sure if it was a change with the blue models but dads blue 64 model had a wider elevator than the neighbors older red machine
