Ford 7500 engine

I end up picking up an engine from a Ford 7500 tlb, does anyone know if the head and rocker shaft will work on a 1987 Ford 755a motor? I forgot about the part number by the oil filter

According to the parts site, the 7500 used 1/2" head bolts the entire 1973-1975 production run, and the 755A, which was made from 1984-1986 used 9/16" head bolts, so I would bet not.

Head bolt size is different and also intake port design, your 755A intake will not match the ports on that earlier head, not sure if you can use the early intake on your machine
The early head can be drilled of 9/16 head bolts but you still have the intake manifold issue
The rocker assembly should be the same

I ended up dropping the 755a head and rocker shaft off at the machine shop today and we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully the head comes back good. Would the rocker bolts be the same side or 1/2? I didn’t see a part number by the oil filter side of the block. I’m not sure if the number is on the same spot as picture 2. I have the manifolds from 7500. If the rocker shaft is damaged, I’ll probably rob it from the 7500

None of the numbers in the pictures that you have posted are part numbers. D1NN6015 is the casting design number for an engine block that was designed in 1971 and F603082 is the engine serial number. The F at the beginning means that it was built for a tractor whose model number starts with an F, like a 7000, 7500, 7600, etc. 4B27C means that the engine was assembled on February 27, 1974. I am not sure on the B60C03, but it is likely some sort of code for the engineers to know how the engine was assembled. You can only be sure that a number is a part number if you find it in a parts manual or the online parts site. They are generally not visible on the part.

All of the head bolts including the ones holding the rockers will be 1/2” on the 7500 engine
Like the head the the rocker stands and shaft will need to be teamed out for the 9/16 head bolts
Check the 7500’s intake opening to make sure it’s the correct position, angle and size to match the intake piping from the newer engine

Photo 1: D1NN6015 is for a 1971 tractor engine block design
Photo 2: F in the engine serial number tells us the engine is for a 7000 series tractor, 7500 is part of the 7000 series
Photo 3: 4B27C tells us the engine was assembled February 27,1974
