Can someone give me some information on a Ford 7600 tractor with the 8x2 dual power transmission. Are these good tractors? What are problems to look for?
 
Yes they are a good tractor, I would test drive and shift DP from low to hi in a higher gear and see how she shifts if it is sluggish probably needs plates, if it shifts right in and takes ahold no problem there. make sure Pto shuts off when shifted off pto brakes are common failure part.
 
I'll second what Forddoc says. Very good tractor. I bought mine with 3200+/- hours, now over 7100. Have put in a clutch, heater fan motor (both within 200 hours of when I bought it), fuel lift pump, trans. input shaft seal, and PTO input shaft and hub. Easy on fuel and a handy size.
