Ford 772 Loader

Has anyone built an adapter plate to connect skid steer-style attachments? I have a 5600 with a Ford 772QT loader that came with a homemade bale spear attachment. I'm looking for measurements from a compatible bucket, specifically for the pin on locations. The current bale spear attachment has very little rollback, and I’d like to account for that when making the adapter.

Not sure I understand this. All the bale spears I've made had the spear 90* to the frame and mounting.

I was just trying to say it was a poorly made homemade attachment - I have no basis for creating the adapter.

For example, this adapter plate is sold online, and the top hole is set further back than the bottom( should be the same on any pin-on compatible implement) . I was wondering if someone could measure the distance between them and from the flat section. The homemade attachment I have has them completely vertical.

This is the Westendorf universal ssqa adapter I have on my 19-97 loader. I'd be happy to measure anything that would be helpful to you. Let me know.

Full disclosure, I'm on a shoe string budget and haven't yet bought a bucket or other attachments to know if I like this adapter. I do know it has to be better than the worn out pos bucket that came with the loader.

Painful, I paid almost $1k for it from my local implement dealer last fall.

The only thing I'm not really happy about is it uses locking pins on 29 1/2" centers which is not truly universal (it's a narrow spacing) when shopping for attachments. But when you know it going in it's not that big of deal.

Im not sure how much different the 19-97 is but these are the measurements I'm needing - the length to the bottom and top pin from the back of the adapter plate and the distance (height) between them.
