Does anyone know why I would get oil overflow out of the dip stick at 50% rpm

Check to verify that this breather is not clogged.

i had to check the gasket "orientation" as well, on mine the gasket was placed upside down plugging the the lil auxiliary notch at the bottom and it had bloated the section out since it was being covered up

Sorry but mine does not look anything like that. If this is the fuel filter mine is completly different and larger than this. This is a 1958 800

Not talking about fuel!....speaking of the breather....the round cup in side of rocker arm cover.

yep same here, the one with the twister knobber, some goober before had that gasket underneath the cup upside down. go take a look at yours youll see the. notch below the threader

They're talking about the round red piece on the side of the red valve cover, not the fuel sediment bowl. That is the breather for the engine. If it gets clogged, then blow by can cause pressure to build inside the engine ad push oil out of the dipstick tube and other places.

Shouldn't it also "breath" out of the oil fill tube - assuming that cap is not plugged?
If the crankcase is way over full, I could see where "crankcase splash" could throw oil out of the dipstick tube.
