Ford 800 hoods

Hey guys are all the hoods for the 2000,3000,4000, 600 and 800 s pre 1965 the same? Is the hood from a 1963 4000 go on a 841?

It should. The difference being the front center nose piece.

The center hood piece was definitely different for the '63-'64 2000 and 4000 models than from the earlier models. The hood sloped up to the eyebrow on those thousand series models. I believe that the side hood panels were different as well as the dog legs, but I could be mistaken on those.

The hoods will interchange as far as bolting up to the different tractors. 800 hoods have the embossed Ford emblem on each side. Nose and grill attaching points are also different for the various series.

000 series tractors have smaller fuel tanks then do 001 series tractors. The hood hinges and latches of a 000 series are closer togather then 001 series. Thus hoods from 55-57 tractors
will mot fit 59-64 tractors. But later tractor hoods will fit previous model tractors
