I am rebuilding my 57 Ford 800 with a 5 speed trans. and two stage clutch. I have the engine off and getting ready to replace the front transmission seal. When you grab the input shaft there is as least a quarter inch of play from side to side. Just checking to see if anyone knows if this is normal and the pilot bearing keeps it steady or do I have another problem. Thanks!
