i just got a 800 lp tractor. been sitting awhile
but motor cranks fine and in pretty good
condition. i had to take heat exchanger for the
propane off because stoped up. i got back together
but had to use silicone on it. all my parts say
good luck finding a new one or rebuilt one. im
just looking for some advice on it. my ford guy
tells me to go to gas and propane guy says leave
it propane at all costs if i can. just wondering
what everyone else thinks. and any things that i
might need to know about it.

IF you have all the parts and they are working for the propane.. might as well leave it.

if you go gas, you will need a gas tank and plumbing, might want the hood and tin, possible brackets, the manifold and carb.. etc.

Im not sure what system it is. I just got home today and went to pull plugs out and now have one broke in number 4. Any advice on getting that out would be great. I took by my propane guy and he says getting new one would be hard to find and may be expensive. I"m pretty sure by what he said that it has had the conversion to lp from gas on it. The is not cut very straight to be factory like that. The only thing I need is the pressure thi g that sits in the water the heats the propane up. For some reason it won"t regulate the pressure. Everything else is good on it. All the lines are new to fairly new. It has been switched to 12 volt. I think I have a carb for gas already. But wouldn"t mind keeping lp so I dOnt have to switch a bunch of things. Thanks for all the help

did the hex part of the plug break, leaving the threaded portion inthe hole? did the insulator come out?

if so use an extractor on it..

The insulated did come out I'm hoping I'll get out with ez out. I haven't got it to run yet. I did get to fire a little but I had way to much pressure. When I took it out it was stopped up comPletley. I managed to clean out and get to flow but someone else had already taken apart cause silicone was all over it. I'm going to take off again and see if I find what's going on but i adjusted the pressure screw on top and it doesn't change pressure any so somethings not right.

just wanted to say the part im having trouble with is the vaporiser. when i took it out it was rusted around the edges alot. someone had said there is a valve inside. i did not see one. i thought i had completley apart but guess not. i know on the input side there is a piece down in there threaded looking like to put bolt and pull out but i couldnt get to budge so left alone. if anyone knows where i can get that at i would appreciate it alot. i have yet to find on internet so far. i would like to leave lp just cause it would last alot longer but want to run no matter if i had to change to gas. thanks for the help
