Ok guys I'm a John Deere guy who's wife owns a 8000 and im having a issue with it. I'm hoping someone can help me out. It stopped moving forward. After some checking I found the hydraulic oil had water in it. (Oil was milky). I changed the oil and filter thinking this was the issue and it was not. It will try to move when you rev the motor up. Something's it will move 10 feet under power the stop. I checked the ball and spring near the filter on the left side and it seems ok. Seems like to me it's losing pressure somewhere. Any Ideas? It did have a clutch and dual power put in it about 50 hrs ago. It doesn't matter which side of the daul power is on either.

The Dual Power is slipping, due to lack of pressure somewhere. Since the dual power is nearly new and did work, I would say that it is most likely your hydraulic pump, or the relief valve.you can take a pressure reading on the side of the pump where you remove a plug or you can adapt a gauge onto one of your remotes. Post back with what you get for pressure and what it does when you shift the DP. A shop manual is going to help a lot.

When I shift the daul power it doesn't do anything. I did find a second relief valve when I was looking at parts book last night. I have been deer hunting today and didn't take time to look at it today. I'm going to take it out and check it. Whatever happened it did it all the sudden.

Ok I had time today to play with my tractor. I removed the
other relief and I could see anything wrong with it. I played
with it while the tractor while I had it running and when you
release the clutch it will move 6 inches. Then push the clutch
in again and release it will move again. I guess I need to get
gauges on the remotes and see what I have. I still think it's
something stupid.
