Hello all, I am trying to revive an older Ford 8700. It has set for a while and the injectors were gummed up. I have taken them apart and cleaned them. The tips that are on it now are CAV BDll150s6666. I will probably end up replacing them when I put things back together. I have read on here about people recommending putting the Mack 237 injector tips into the 401's. What is the difference or advantage of these tips over the factory CAV tips? I have also read some conflicting information on whether or not the current hold down nut will fit the Mack tips.. Does anyone happen to have a part # for the Mack tips?
What about pop pressure between the two tips are they the same? (2750 - 2800 if I remember correctly)
also,I might be able to get a hold of pistons/rods turbo ext from a 9700 and put on here.. would these same tips work then or does the 9700 use different ones?
Thank for the input.
