Ford 871 Problem

Might go look at a Ford 871 tractor. Owners says that R-1 and six gear slips. I didn't talk to the guy, just says in his ad. Any suggestion what might be wrong with the transmission?

Most issues with the S-O-S transmission affect 3 gears at once, so there's probably another gear that's slipping as well. As to the cause, it could just be a band that needs tightening, or a servo that needs replacing. But it could be something that requires splitting the tractor and replacing internal parts in the transmission, some of which might not still be available.

If R1 and 6 wont pull Id guess 5 and 9 dont either. If thats the case the overrunning clutch is no applying and probably bad.
