I need to fix a leak at this pin. I am showing two different part #s. One is #8n-563 and the other is NCA-563C. I have no idea which one mine is, but those two pins look completely different. Does anyone know
the correct one. My 8n is early model front distributor. Even more confusing is going from one site to another the pictures of the pin get crossed up with those two part numbers.

Either part number you have should work.

The original pin for an 8N, 8N563, had a "relieved" area in the center of the tapered end that fits into the axle "trumpet", was eventually replaced by NCA-563 which has a continuous taper.

The 9N's and 2N's used a different style of pin, 9N-563 which will NOT fit in an 8N "trumpet".

May I ask, which pin is leaking...as in location.....viewed from the rear of the Tractor.
Right side or Left side?

I was given a lot of advise as to how to remove these pins.......I choose to remove the Left AXEL Housing.

Standing at the rear it is the one on the right side, it is loose just free spinning. It may just need to be tightened but it shouldnt hurt to replace it with a brand new one. I will probably do both sides while im at it. I read somewhere on here if you can access both if you remove only one trumpet , cant recall right or left tho.

Ok so the pins arrived. I figured i would use the OLD castle nut and just torque it down but the threaded areas on the new pin are bigger inside the trumpet. The new pins i have are NCA-563c. Does anybody know what castle nut goes on this new pin? 5/8''x18 is not gonna work as im pretty sure thats the spec for the original pin.
