I like this tractor and it is in a town near by, I looked at it a few weeks ago when the man wanted a lot more than he does now, it runs as good
as it looks and I believe him when he says he has a lot of money tied up in the restoration but I still can't see paying what he is asking. Anyone
think this tractor is worth over 3500-4000?

I would be surprised if you could sell it for that price. But if you really want a row crop ford from that era, like me, I would consider it. $3500, isn't that bad of a price around here.

Is a little high in my estimation, for a 1955/56 900 Ford. It doesn't have power steering, power adjusted rear wheels ,rest-o-ride seat, maybe not a double clutch, no drawbar. It does have a set of stabilizer bars made exclusively for a Ford row crop tractor. These are fairly hard to come by. $3500 to $4000 would be more realistic

New tires but no drawbar or bracket and no PS. Could also be a 950 without live PTO.

No more than $4,000.

Not even a drawbar holder ( piece that bolts around by the pto shaft). Look to see if the casting isn't broken especially by the two lower bolts. They are known to break out if used with the bolts loose.

Back in 2000 my dad bought a row crop 4000. We knew the engine needed rebuilt when we bought it for $1800. The engine was so wore out even the crank was down to far to grind. Dad put over $3200.00 just in the engine.

I see a lot of row crops with the drawbar bracket bolts welded in.

Nice tractor, lotta tire.
agree it looks like a 950.
It would take at [i:d19d48b202]least[/i:d19d48b202] $4k to buy it in my area...doubt he would take 4k though.
Wish I could find one just like it. On a NF, I don't need PS, don't need live pto with the expensive clutch, and don't care if it has spinouts...$4k..I'll take it.

If you look at it, and if it has the one piece pedestal, make sure it steers easy. The bearing race at the bottom of the pedestal is a bear to change.

Ford four cyl. row crops are worth more just for the cool factor, but This would have to stand up to close scrutiny to be worth $500.00 under the asking price. The paint would have to be automotive quality so that it would look good for fifteen years, and I would want to see receipts, for the parts and work. I paid that for a diesel SOS fifteen years ago, but in addition to the new motor and paint, it had PA rims, rear weights, and the coup de grace, a complete front weight box.
