heading to my daughters little farm. They just acquired this baler and my son-in-law wants me to FIX it while he’s helping a neighbor process chickens. I don’t even know what it looks like let alone what to look for to fix it. He’s say it’s got two bales of hay stuck in it, I’m thinking a laxative might work..

so, anyplace I can find a manual I can download- free would be the best but,……

any advice this group could provide would really help, probably more than the manual might.
any advice at all is welcome.

When you say stuck is it really stuck or is it the fact that at the end of the baling season there is always 1 or 2 bales in a baler that can only be removed if one loosens things up and even then there hard to get out it is just how a square baler works. It's been 50 or so years since I messed with a Ford square baler but they all pretty much work the same

On the back of the bale chute there should be a couple of handles which set the tension on the bale chamber. In normal operation the more you tighten those down the more hay the baler packs into the bale and the heavier the bale gets. If you want to remove bales that are already in the chamber unscrew both of those handles until the tension is completely off, then use a bale hook to stab the offending bale and pull. It should come out. If not get a helper and both of you pull.

As I haven’t seen it yet it’s probably just the last bale that hasn’t been ejected.

Thanks for the advice I’ll see what we can do to remove it today.

Still searching for a manual

Here is a picture of the Hand cranks that Rocky3000 is talking about. Do you know if the baler has thrower on it? That makes it harder to get the bales out of the Bale Chamber. The thrower would almost have to come off to get the bales out
I Think the 14-292 baler is the 530 series.
I will send you a private message. red bell at top of page
