Ford Jubilee

OK, guys, again forget about any USA made part. Most all are now made in Cheena and I haven't seen any new whole oil pumps made, only parts. The only USA made item I see
is the late 8N Oil Pump Repair Kit from STEINER TRACTOR, p/n FDS381. There were two styles of pumps used on the NAA - the early Vickers Vane Pump and the later gear
driven style. A is with all major FORD TRACTOR components, they were designed to be rebuilt over and over. What problem are you having with yours? Some guy posts here who
knows all about the Ford oil pumps, maybe he'll chime in.

I fitted an oil pump which I bought from YT over 2 years ago and it failed after running for about 40 minutes. I have only just stripped the engine down and discovered that the pump seized and broke one side of the drive slot. the base plate is heavily scored on one side of the drive gear arc suggesting that the shaft/gear is not perpendicular to the base. Obviously it is too late to claim warranty.
I would like to add that when I primed the pump using a power drill oil was gushing out around the top of the drive shaft suggesting a leak there but I don't see a seal for the shaft.
