ford NAA bumper

its been a while, as i slowly work on my naa and work on her and restore her. I am trying to find the bumper that it originally had as stated on the receipt. I found most bumpers that have the 4 horizontal bars..3 with the hitch on the third bar, then an extra bar below it. I did however find a bumper with only 3 horizontal bars. the guy swears its factory. Can anyone shed some light on this cause from what i have read they should have 4?

If you're going for points, this was the original style bumper for the NAA - Note the main element is straight without the dogleg that is specific to the N's.

It's your tractor so put what ever bumper on it that spins your prop.

thats what i wanted to hear lol...This tractor was my grandparents tractor, sold at auction in 96 and i bought it back earlier this year. I have the original reciept and it came with the bumper, it has since grown legs and ran away lol...so i want to complete the tractor back to the way it was...I asked my grandmother who has slight dementia who gave me the address of the local ford tractor store that hasnt been there in forever lol i love her to death

Dollar Bill----correct you are....the "left over" bumpers from the Jubes and NAA"s were an optional accessory for the early 1955 100 Series Tractors....so I believe this style bumper is "correct" for the very early 100 Series Tractors as well.

I believe the lower bar was "removed" for the XX1 Series Fords...and later.

BTW----for anybody looking, there is a very nice XX1 series bumper for sale right now for $65 on Craigslist in Green Bay WI......not mine...

so with me being more confused that ever which bumper would have come as an original accesorry bumper the 3 or 4 bar? If i do this, i want to do this right, to preserve it. thank you and forgive me for my ignorance, i just wanna learn

The photo that I posted is the correct, original bumper.

The last bumper photo that you posted is not OEM it was produced aftermarket as Dean stated.

This is an original 3-Bar, but NOT original for the NAA....but for the 100 Series and later..

Not mine, but a decent price....imo.

I have an extra NAA that will be for sale this Spring....needs a little work but will clean up nicely..
