Draft control lever tells the hydraulic system whether you're using a ground breaking implement such as a plow where the hydraulics move the implement up or down depending on how much pressure(resistance) the implement exerts going through the soil. This is when the draft conrol is in draft mode or horizontal position. When you have it in position control mode(vertical) the hydraulics maintain the position that you select with the quadrant lever, large lever on your right. Basically unless you're plowing you'll want the lever in the vertical position so you select the height of the implement.

Thanks for the info I guess mine isn't working right when you shut down the tractor the grading box falls to the ground within a couple of minutes with the handle up and the hydrolics don't seeme to work at all with it down
