I want to clean it up and put it inside for my brother,it is his plow

It needs a plow share,,,where is the best ,place to get one?

What size is the plow?
I have a 101 2-16. I bought some new
shares for mine a couple of years ago.
Had to buy 3 to get the 2 I wanted.
Got them cheap tho.
I'll donate the extra one if you just pay
the shipping.
Just going to work now but could measure
it up and or send photos when I get home
this afternoon.
My email should be open in classic.

Larry,

If you can remove the existing share, there should be a number on the back of it. You may have to wire wheel it to get it to show.
Likely you'll need a cutting torch or similar means to get the share bolts cut off, likely the nut on the back won't unscrew, maybe soak with penetrant ? When I re-assembled my 2 bottom 101, I did slather a bunch of anti seize on the new bolts, and keep it up on blocks, I'd bet they will still come off with a wrench.

I've got an old long winded post here, dating back to 2012, from that, below, is a link to Wiese cross reference for OEM plow share numbers and Wiese's part numbers. You will need new bolts, clipped or undercut, I forget, but they are cheap. Check your shin and the landside for excess wear, won't cost you much to replace those. Darned good plow as you know, I have the 110 version in single, but am still looking for a 101 single, with the lever of course. Not sure why, I really need a 101 3 bottom for my tractor.

Another manufacturer is Herschel.

Hopefully UD has the one you need !

Larry, anytime. These are common and even new short-line manufacturers like Leinbach or similar, actually use Ford style bottoms, shares, shins, landsides, mold boards.

You will be able to find them, my Temco dealer locally stocked them and still should today. Your mold board if original, will have the ford oval script symbol on the back, kind of a cool feature for us "Ford" guys LOL !

The one thing that came up in my quest to properly rebuild my 101 2 bottom was that Oliver apparently made some of these plows or made these plows, and Oliver shares did fit, but there was a slight issue with that fit. I had documented my work, but forget what photos were the right or preferable part numbers. I think the bolt holes were slightly off, very slight but the joinery between the parts was perfect, vs the bolt holes perfect, and joinery with more of a gap, which just fills with dirt anyways. (gap between share, moldboard, and shin.

I actually preferred the thicker "rock share" on my 110 single 1-16 for the soils here, will get them for my 101 next time as well, they are thicker at the point by quite a bit then the regular share.

Best of luck on this !!!!

The last ones I removed had left hand threads. Probably everybody knows that's a possibility, but I didn't. Not too hard to get off with a breaker bar and six point socket, once I figured out which way to turn the nut.

The last few times I had to replace the shares on my Ford 101 they came off really easy with the plasma torch.
