I have a friend that acquired a "FORD" 2 bottom 3 point plow, model IO-I56. He is in SERIOUS need of what I consider "points" but have been informed they are called "shares"?? Would anyone know if these parts still available to him?? What I find odd is the plow is painted orange?? Thanks

Shares/points... same thing, regional terms. I think some people also call them "lays". I'm not real familiar with a 10-156. Shares may or may not be readily available. Some of those old Ford plows can be hard to get shares for.
Is it orange, or maybe a faded orangeish red? Up until the mid '60's, Ford equipment was painted "Ford red". Or maybe someone repainted it. I saw one for sale recently that was green.

My Danish plow one year had pink shares and moldboards. Whenever I got done using it I would back up to the shop door and grab a can of paint that didn't have much left in it and paint them whatever color that was. Yours could have been repainted with the later Ford red which has an orange tint to it, whic would then have faded out, Or it could have been painted whatever the previous owner wanted to because there are no laws about paint colors. There is very little original 60 year old paint out there.
