I have a Fairbanks Morse Magneto, model # FM-J
My end caps are busted, but how do you remove the gear from the rotor cap, i am sure this is simple but it is the first time i have had a magneto open.

Pull the rotor off the shaft, poke the shaft and gear out the back side.

It just pulls off, or do i need a little wheel puller.
