Ford Serial Number Help- 9N

My dad picked up a tractor today and we are trying to figure out the year of it. Serial number on engine block says 9NI27686

Any help would be greatly appreciated

On left side down aways is a line that says serial numbers.

Ford used the I as a one. b for a six and upside down b for nine.
So 9N 127xxx would make it a 1944 Ford 2N tractor engine.
9N and 2N serial numbers both started with "9N".

Looks like you have a 1944 2N tractor,lots of people mistake a 2N for a 9N.
