ford tractor clutch problems

i really need some help i got a ford tractor my grandpa gave me we used for over 50 years now and i just replace the clutch because i thought it was bad. what it was doing and still is doing is the tractor will not disengage form gear while running i have put a brand new clutch and adjusted it to spec and i am stumped on what could be wrong now i have tried everything. and yes nothing is froze up not even the throw out bearing Please can someone help my grandpas tractor.

Did you replace the front transmission seal?

Leaking rear end oil on the clutch plate will cause it to stick.

What exactly did you replace, and what shape was everything in when you first got in there?

ok its not leaking any kinda of fluids in the bell housing i checked yes the clutch was bad my grandpa had a bad habit of riding the clutch but he was old what can u say. it has a two disk clutch assmebly and the pto works fine with the pedal but the tractor stays in gear. All i replace was the clutch disk its self the pressure plate seems to be in great shape the pto disk was in great shape also. thats why i cant figure this out. i replaced the bad part and it didnt fix the problem.any insight

First we've got to establish what Ford tractor you actually have. N series did not come out with a double clutch.
Go to John Smiths identify page on the other thread you posted on and find out what you have.
If you find that you have a later hundred series or 01 series Ford then I would post your questions on the Ford Board.
Some fellows here know the Hundred series as well as any man alive but you'll find more of them on the other board.
Good luck

Listen to Ultradog, you just went way over my head on the 2 stage clutch, as I have never had one to work on, although I might could look up some stuff on it when I have the time, and I am able.

There are probably those here that know them like the back of their hand.

{dang, where did that wart come from}

my thought would be that you installed the trans clutch disc in backwards and it cannot release due to clearance issues
