Yes I know it's not badged as a TW25 but that's what it actually is, someone just wanted it to look like something better. Local guy has it for sale, none runner due to cracked diesel filter glass. Tractor is supposed to be low hours around 5000, has been painted about 2 years ago and sat outside since so begining to show some deteriation. Tyres about 50 % down. Has anyone any experience of this model, I dont know much about them myself but could be interested if the price was right.
Thanks
Bill

Cracked glass doesn't sound to me like a reason to put a tractor in the weeds. I wouldn't call 5000 low hours for one of those either. Not that it wouldn't go a lot more but you don't see them with much more.

If price is right, wash and wax, rebadge it properly and fix filter glass. Make a few $$ if runs good if not for yourself. Profit is not dirty word, Greed is! Power Assist rims on rear, looks like front axle set up for weights too?Cab looks decent enough. Upside potential.

Always the Final Jeopardy 3 part question:
What do you need/willing to give/what are they willing to take?

TW25 is a pretty robust tractor, I'd consider buying it for the right price. I'd be a little suspicious that someone would go to the trouble of painting it, and putting on new decals, only to park it up because of a broken filter glass, then try and sell as a non runner. Filter glass can’t be many $$?? Chris

If I was looking to buy it, I'd buy the filter bowl myself just to prove that's all it needs. Then walk away after finding out the real story. At 5000 hours, that tractor COULD be getting ready for a whole bunch of expensive parts, not the least of which might be the hydraulic & PTO driveshaft & hub. That requires a double split.

Oil & paint make'em what they ain't.

Our TW30 has 5200 hours on it and it runs strong. We have 11000 hours on our 8700. Sure we put money into it over the years but is has been a very reliable tractor.

Buy a filter glass and fire it up - that it if it starts.

I'm not very familiar with TW's but I can't imagine they're too different than the rest of the lineup from that time. 5000 hours might be nothing or it might be spending time... but you've no way of knowing without seeing her run. I'd probably see if I could stick a basic CAV filter on it, or another housing off of something else with some flex line and fire it up if the glass was a lot of money. Otherwise I'd just buy the glass... see it run and go from there.
