fancy..........NO, there were NEVER enny factory built V-8's or I-6's. There were about 250 Funk V8-kits and about 8,000 inline 6-kits. Records are incomplete 'cuz the Funk Bros factory hadda fire and were destroyed. I-6's were preferred 'cuz the I-6 had better torque for plowing. You haffta use a 1950 or later V8 'cuz early V8's won't fit the tranny bell-housing. Surprizingly enuff, you can now buy V8-kits; Henry Bros is one source. There is 'nuttin' more beautiful than a full dress flattie. ........Dell

I'm not Dell but from the archives one person installed a 221-289 Ford with the 5 bolt bell housing. 5 bolt was used from earliest 221 thru sometime 1964 289s. He said bolt up was close.
I think the Indy V8 in mid sixties had a 5 bolt bell housing too. Now there you would have a crowd pleaser. This info for TO20 Fergy NOT N Fords.
