Ford wheels

I am looking for information on some ford wheel rims. They are 9X28 with a solid wheel with an 8 hole by 8" diameter pattern. They seem to fit 8N Fords, but they aren't the kind with the loops on the rim. I haven't been able to find new ones like this anywhere.

Those are not 9/2/8N rims.

Post on the Ford forum for additional results.

Hello DWMT, welcome to YT! Tell us what you got cooking? Do you want some original rims and wheels for an 8N? If you are then a post on the 2N, 9N & 8N forum would probably be the thing to do as suggested by Dean, although YT forums are not really for buy and sell. Those could be from any number of utility tractors or from an older small combine but probably kind of small for that.

They are the same hub pattern as the old Fords. What would they be from?
Many different machines have an 8 on 8" bolt pattern. Old combines, self propelled mowers, and equipment like that. Those machines do not need adjustable tread width.

At one time there were a LOT of perfectly good wheels and tires removed from old combines and other machines that were worn out or became obsolete. They would sell for cheap at auctions and made for a quick inexpensive replacement wheel and tire for small tractors.

Unfortunately the supply of those rims has long since dried up.

Manure spreaders had that pattern on a lot of them also. Rear wheels on combines and drive wheels combines . Lots of them around on combines with those bolt patterns on them with tires will cost some cash but they are out there. Worthington,Colfax tractor Most junkyards will have them on the combines. Mudhog or 4x4 may not fit but the 2 x4 will fit.

You will most likely have to buy the center and outer rim separately in order to get new. I think that backspacing would be a gamble buying one piece rims made for other equipment.

Do the Google for M.E. Miller Tire in Wauseon, OH for 8 lug 28" centers. I know that they sell centers and outers. May even have a one piece rim.
