Ford with simms pump

This Ford 2000 was left sitting for a few years and neighbor started it and it ran wide open. Is there an easy fix without taking the pump off. Tractor belongs to an old widow woman, just trying to help her out so she can sell it. Thanks

Take cover off side and move rack back and forth and apply your favorite penetrant till moves freely Also the oil needs changed , drain is in bottom,level is onside , Both take 1/2 wrench. Fill is big plug on top.

The 2000 was only ever made with a CAV rotary injection pump. The 3000 was made using both the Simms and the CAV at different times.

Dexta has Simms pump. That may be what it is.

If it is a Ford 2000 (Fordson Dexta) it may have a vacuum governed pump and has a hole in the diaphragm. Not too big a job to fix and the parts are available.
