Forged data plate ?

I can only call this a forged data plate. Unless someone can point me to a Massy-Harris 102 SS. Serial # doesn't jive with a 102 either. Serial #'s are to randomly placed and misaligned for factory going by the rest of my data plates.

I do t know about the model number, but the serial numbers placement looks pretty typical for that era Massey....

Could you add a picture of where it should be. Can't find anything but casting #'s.
I don't have a picture, but look at the machined area of the main housing, just back of the transmission cover, along the left side (facing forward). Oh, he11, I'll take a picture for you:

This is a 101 Jr. RC, but the S#s are all stamped in the same place on these '40s era Masseys. It does appear the SN doesn't fit for a 102 Senior, Standard.

If you are still curious about the ID, ask Peter, at Tractor Data. He'll probably know the answer.
