After hooking up discs, didn"t notice until I"d already disced up plot. How bad did I ruin those nice new ones I put on last year?? Dang dang dang.

I put all new brakes on my NAA last year. They didn't work worth a d**n.
I wound up adjusting them very tight every single time I used it and still rode the brakes hard for about two weeks. Now, after the grinding down to fit the drums, they work great. So you just saved all those steps

Sand Paper....

Running, and in gear.

Other brake locked.

You didn't hurt it.
How long did you run it that way? Couple of hours? If you'd had them real tight you would have noticed the drums getting hot and/or a severe lack of pulling power.
I'd readjust them, call it a lesson learned and not give it another thought.

No, it was probably 30 minutes running time. It was too soggy to really do any work out there. They still seemed to work fine. Just hate to think I "ruint" 'em after all the work of putting them on and fixing the seals last year.

Oil on them may ruin them after some time.

I don't think running them "hot" for one session will.

You may need to adjust them again.

IMO if you had them right, and had them locked, you wouldn't have been plowing.

Or even moving.

I need to tell the story about my '88 Blazer, and pulling pine stumps, and forgetting to let the parking brake off.

I broke the drive shaft yoke at the tranny.

I had to go home in front wheel drive, with the rear drive shaft in the boot.

Let's see-
30 minutes in first gear at 2.51 miles per hour is 1.25 miles -- It couldnt have done much. I'd put a table spoon of beer on each tire and call it good.

Like others indicated if they still work OK don't worry about it. These old machines move slow enough that they probably didn't even get very hot. Wish I had a dollar for every time I've run one with a brake on in the past 25 years.
