Found another one

I went and done it again, a freind told me about a Ferguson nearby for sale. I went and looked at it and yes bought it. Its a Ferguson TO 20, with a grader blade, disc and two bottom plow. Its been stored in a garage for many years and hasnt been ran in at least 5-10. Battery has a date on it of 5-22-08. The gas smells terribly stale. It leaks from the pto shaft.. its going to need some elbow grease for sure. Maybe not alot of money.. but time invested in it. I plan on doing a 12 volt conversion and an electronic ignition. I beleive its an early model.

One needed for every implement.
My wife told me I can't sell her TO-20.
I still need to install the Everett trans and then dual rear wheels.
Uh.. . change the seat mount so it not only slides forward but elevates and lowers.
After that I found some front head lights with shades over them somewhat akin to a WWII appearance.
I know there is a bit more and will it EVER get done is a good question.

Good luck with your toys.

right on! This one has the elevated spring assisted seat from back in the day. Id like an Everett transmission please.. would that then run a tiller?

I got it figured out..operator error

Either the Everett or the Howard can run the tiller by slowing down the rear wheels without slowing the PTO such as the Sherman and Hupp do.
Her Fergy already has the Hupp and Howard. The Everett is just another step down the toy path.

Ive never seen one of those step down transmissions. Id sure like to have one to run my tiller though. How much do they normally sell for? Also how hard are they to install? One last question, how durable are they?

Howard is a good trans but you have to be very careful on engaging it. Don't grind the gears at all, they wear off very quickly.
Everett is supposedly more durable but as with any metal trans, don't grind gears.
Last Howard I saw sell on fleabay was $1502. I heard of an Everett going for $300 and I won't say what I paid for mine. Her toy is a money pit
and this just added to that factor.

I had a 35 bought a few years back it got sold out from under me. That was that and Ive not found one in my price range yet. However, Im thinking that I may fix the 30 and 20 I have, sell them and then go looking.

That reminds me. Ferguson tractor had an elliptical auxiliary trans. I have seen one in the past 20 odd years.
Wish I knew where it went to.
