Fox forage chopper differences

We have a Fox 3300 pull type chopper. It only has a pickup hay head on it at the current time. We are looking for a narrow 2 row corn head to put on it next year so we can chop our own corn.

About 30 miles away someone is selling a Fox 3310 with a narrow row corn head on it. 1800 bucks for the whole thing. Im sure it goes as a complete unit. I know the head would fit on our chopper. If we ended up with the 3310 would 3300 parts be able to go on a 3310 or vice versa? If we ended up with both would one of them be able to be used as donor parts if the need arosed? We really don't need 2 choppers around but if one is parts compatible with the other it makes more sense to have 2 units sitting around.

If you're on Facebook, there's a good group on there that would know for sure. If the heads fit, I'd think the rest would be pretty close and many parts would interchange.

I'm not real familiar with the 3300/3310, but I know some parts will swap.
I have a similar situation - I have a 4310 and 4410. Most parts will swap on mine, but until something happens to one of them, I'll keep both - no switching heads, that way. And I sometimes chop a few loads of hay to mix in with the corn silage.

Thanks for the info. Im actually a member
of that Facebook group and have asked the
same question on there actually but it's
been a few days and i have had 0
responses to my question.

The factory parts book is for both the 3300 & 3310 - so 99% of the parts are the same. Looking thru it, did not find any major differences.

You should be able to find a parts manual on Ebay for very little cost. Thats what I did. Comes in handy.

Good luck - they are great machines.
