Been along time coming!!! On the way home from Austin TX today... Guy on one of the roads on the way sells a lot of 8N's and 9N's.. More 8Ns... Well I stopped to look at the 8N he had for sale...All new tin...Better stop in and look at the old tin

Here is the one he is selling $3200...Not interested. He does go through the engine...But just does rings and bearings..I know he dont turn the crank...Had a whole list of things done...Didnt read it... Just on a tin hunt...He has a few parts tractors. One had good looking 32 inch hat rims. No pic's. Also picked up a leveling gear box. Going back Friday to get the left link. Need to check front rims on his parts tractors when I go back to get the left lift link.

Think it was a 50...

I had a 49 with holes in the same place as yours (down in the crease)
Any idear what they would have been used for?
$45, that was a bargain!

No idea what the holes were for Jon. My guess would be a screen for the grill? The suck some crap in the radiator while brush hogging!! Going to braze them shut. Need to trat it with Ospho ASAP!!

Is this one of those bait and switch deals?
Show us the photos of that lovely 8N and then switch us to your own forlorn 9/2N. Wink...
One thing I've learned about these old tractors is the more patient you are about getting it done the cheaper the over all cost is going to be.
To a 60 year old tractor what's a couple of years while it's getting restored?
I always like the photos.
Thanks

(quoted from post at 08:00:39 06/16/09) That's the gear (or pulley) box that drives the belly mower off the PTO...

Wow...that's pretty elaborate. I think I like the rear version mowers better! Easier to disengage and change out equipment!

Sean,
you made out pretty darn good. I'm going to be home visiting family
July 1st-7th. Primarily staying with family up in the Lott / Waco area and making day trips to my father's in LaGrange, mother's out in Wimberly, and sister and some friends in Austin proper.

Didn't see any old bumpers lying around did ya?

(quoted from post at 12:39:23 06/18/09) No problem, maybe I can return the kind gesture one day, neighbor!

So what are you looking for Gus? Its not a bone yard. 2 9N parts tractors. Both have cracked block's. One has good fenders. That's it for tin. The rest is gone.
