When I attended Purdue University School of Electrical Engineering way back in the late sixties in Physics we learned any sort of perpetual motion machine was impossible and violated the laws of physics (and/or maybe thermodynamics) AND I BELIEVE THEM

Our good friend Teddy on here may have a different opinion, but I respect others opinions and choose not to bad mouth or run people down or make personal attacks (unlike some on here do)

My other friend Kurt posted this link the other day about Joes claim of an engine that produced more energy then it consumed...

hose things are so easy to disprove that it is like child's play! Just seal it up, isolated in a glass box, away from any fields and see if it can power itself. The answer will of course be NO & that doesn't even take into account that part of his claim that thee will be excess power beyond keeping itself running.

Hi Mike,

The actual laws of physics don't change, of course, whether we understand them or not. But our understanding of physics has changend so radically since the late 1940's that for practical purposes (or, from a human perspective might be a better way to put it) the laws of physics have changed. Not, however, in any way that makes perpetual motion machines or sources of free energy any more possible than they have ever been.

Some of these folks need to try to turn over a generator with a load on it. The back up generator at the courthouse had a 300 cube Ford six on it, when the ups in the data center transferred load to the generator it'd about stall, the only thing that stopped it from stalling is the overcurrent on the generator would kick out,the engine would speed up. When the overcurrent kicked, the data center ups would go back to battery, once the engine got back to speed the ups would sense the line power transfer load and the cycle starts all over. Meanwhile the lights are pulsing. IT TAKES A LOT OF TORQUE TO TURN OVER A GENERATOR.

I cant speak to head pressure capacity but if a guy had any moving water source (stream or branch etc) or small falls etc it wouldnt be hard to rig up a water wheel to drive an alternator to charge a battery bank

Really now, could you give an example? Some very detailed stuff at a quantum/nuclear level from the early 1900's is just getting to the point where they are studying it and it might need revisiting.

I can't think of anything physics laws related to heat and motion that have changed.

I am thinking in terms of a closed water wheel to drive a generator. I have a spring and I pump water to my garden, 1" pump and it doesn't lower the water level all day long. I thought about a closed water wheel and a siphon arangement so the equipment could be in the basement to prevent freezing. I guess what I need is a place to look for slow speed and low power generator. I'm sure I won't be able to make much head pressure. Can you tell me who maybe sells such generators?

I don't think the laws of physics ever change, or the rule about a free lunch, on the other hand, I guess the guy that you bought the plans from got a free lunch but, you paid for it.
When I was about 20 years old, that was over 55 years ago, I worked as a lineman for a power company. Newspaper headlines said everyone would soon have their own power source in their back yard, solar energy panels had been invented. Everybody that I worked with got real concerned about loosing their job. The high-ups called a meeting, had an engineer explain why it was a hoax. It's still a hoax unless you want to open a gate or burn a yard light in clear weather.

The closest thing to free electricity is a hydro-electric dam. Water falling that you didnt have to pump up above the turbine.
