freeing stuck gp engine

I posted on here last fall and am now starting to mess with it. I have dumped kerosene through the plate at the top of the motor just below the gas tank. If there is a better way to get the fluid to the pistons I am open to suggestions. The tractor was running for about 15 seconds when it seized up. I am believing that it wasn't moving oil so locked up. I have no manual so am pretty much guess at how this thing works.

The plate on top of the motor only oils the valve guides and valves. Very little oil will get to your pistons.

that's what the oil pressure gauge is for! if no oil pressure don't run and investigate.
now its complete tear down time. anything else is a time waster. oil in an engine does miracles when running, not when seized up.

One should consider educating themselves as much as possible when commenting on questions that are very specific as to the need for a correct answer. Your answer (complete with an exclamation point) has absolutely nothing to do with the question. I would like to take the time to enlighten myself as to the what the oil is actually used for in the combustion engine. I had no previous idea. Food for thought...The 1929 John Deer gp has only a small pin that raises up to indicate pressure. I am sorry if I came across as a simple headed baboon that made you feel that the best way to answer a question is for you to do your best to make yourself out to be superior.

Are you thinking crank bearings? Wish I had a manual. This was my father in laws tractor. Always been shredded and ran every fall at the show. A good friend thought mains as well. I am putting kerosene where I can to soak it a bit before I open it up. Thought it would help loosen any crud.

I would pull the crank case cover off and loosen the connecting rod caps. This could free it up. To fill the GP engine you would need to pour the fluid in the exhaust or intake holes but make sure the valves are open for the fluid to enter the cylinder.

If you want to remove the manifold you need to remove the hood, then the fuel tank followed by the carb. Then loosen the 4 manifold nuts (they usually break off in my experience). Now the worst part is getting the manifold off. There are really stuck in place with dirt, carbon etc. I use a big sledge and a block of wood and tap it from the underside to get it too break free. It takes a bit but work the left then right side till it starts to move then you can get a pry bar underneath it to finish the job.

you r the one that said it was running and seized up, you figure to lack of oil. sooo, you want to soak pistons, well that will do nothing. it has to come apart for rebuild. I don't know of any other fix. sorry. sure funny how people get mad at words that try to explain a problem.??? your title even says " FREEING STUCK GP ENGINE".
