A very rare beast, a straight petrol Fordson Super Major, most Supers were diesel powered. Right up to the end of production in 1964, petrol tractors from Ford in England were available to special order, but very few were built. This one belongs to a friend of mine and came out of a quarry where two or three were owned from new.

It looks like it doesn't have a rock shaft. Is there no three point lift?

My old friend bought the 3-point delete stuff, so he could lower his weight for tractor pulling contests.
They may have been carried over from the E27N. The three-point on the E27n was an extra cost system supplied by an outside firm.

Not on this tractor, it was a special just for towing jobs in the quarry so it was bought without one. Normally it would have had one as standard.
