Front Axle half spindle bushing question.

I recently purchased a junked out tractor to restore. On disassembly of the front axle I noticed that the spindle bushings just dropped out of the axle housing. I tried to install a new bushing in the axle half and it will barely touch the sides of the housing. My question is can you JB weld the bushings to the housing and will they hold? I don't know how hard it will be to find some used axle halfs. Thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure how you would get JB Weld into the gap between the new bushings and the axle extensions. A machine shop could put oversize bushings in the old axle extensions, but that would probably cost more than a set of used ones. I see used axle parts for sale all the time. That's gotta be the better way to go. Are you sure you have the right bushings?

No.

The spindle bores have worn oversized. You will need to replace the spindle housings or fit custom made bushings.
