How much fluid do I need to fill up my Dearborn loader? It is completely dry and not sure how to check it for proper level.

On my Dearborn 19-71 loader I fill it till you can see fluid in the fill hole area.

Top center cross pipe is the fill point. I have no idea how much fluid it takes since I have never had to fill if up from being empty

Do like anybody else keep filling till it’s full then u know how much oil it took

Fill it with the bucket down (assumes lift only, no down pressure) leave about an inch of air in the reservoir for expansion when warm. Jim

Any universal hyd fluid will be just fine

What pump is running it, you could probably look up the model number and find out the manufacturers suggested oil.

I too would run whatever universal hyd oil you use on the other stuff on the farm anyhow.
