Front crap trap????

Hi All,

I am in the process of reconditioning a TEA20..
When I looked at the front, under the mains fan pulley it is just full of crap...
It took me like 2 hours too clean all the crap out...
Why is there not more drain areas or a hole in the base???
Has anyone modified this???

They built them like that so birds would have a place to build if you did not use it every day! I only use my TO30 to garden and a little bush hogging. A few years ago I crawled on it and hit the starter, when it fired bits of birds nest flew everywhere! Now I look before I climb into the seat.

Try fishing for the odd nut or washer that's
disappeared down into it !!

I just pulled my radiator on my TO30 getting ready to paint and
also found the crap in the hole. I will report out if I find anything
of value when I clean it out.
